Hot Cross Buns

Instructions

  1. A (*) to bowl

  2. Melt butter and half the milk gently

  3. Cool a little and add egg

  4. Mix into flour

  5. Add remaining milk, may not need it all so add it slowly until it forms a nice dough

  6. Kneed and when nearly finished, incorporate the fruit

  7. Cover and leave to rise for 1 hour

  8. Divide into 12 and put on a greased baking tray

  9. Cover and leave to rise for 1 hour

  10. Mix up the topping and pipe in crosses

  11. Cook in a pre-heated oven for 15-20 minutes @ 200/190C
