Dundee Cake

Cream Butter and sugar

Add the beaten eggs

Add sieved flour, spices and baking powder

Mix well
-
Add all the other ingredients and mix gently until evenly distributed

Put into a buttered and lined 8" cake tin. Decorate the top with Almonds in a circular pattern

Bake in a pre-heated oven for 2 1/2 to 3 hours at 160C (150C fan)
Test with a skewer, when it comes out clean it's done.
If it starts to brown, cover it with tin foil.
