Bread – Sourdough loaf

Difficulty: Beginner Prep Time 15 mins Cook Time 1 hr Rest Time 90 mins Total Time 2 hrs 45 mins

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a mixer/mixing bowl, then kneed for 5 minutes.

  2. Leave the dough to rise for 45 minutes.

  3. Knock back and shape the dough.

  4. Leave the dough to rise again for 45 minutes.

  5. Preheat the oven and lidded cast iron pot at 220°c for 15 minutes.

  6. Put the dough in the heated cast iron pot, then bake it with the lid on for 45 minutes at 220°c. Then, bake for another 15 minutes with the lid off at 180°c.
